This work is scheduled for the down time between terms starting in mid June

Putting the grad course practical instructions on Gitlab will enable good version control of all the material. The data will not be stored because it is too large.

Just store the html files and possibly any other small slide presentations.

We can also experiment with using mark down for the main body text of the practicals. Pandoc can be used to inject the css styles and any javascript that is used. This can be a separate "markdown" branch to keep things tidy. With Gitlab, we can auto-compile the html and pdfs from markdown using pandoc via a gitlab runner script. This can be done automatically after every commit if we want. We could also auto-deploy to a server location if we have the right ssh setup and permissions.
