[git training] logistics for hands-on course
What is this for?
Any issues related to the organisation of the git/gitlab training course.
Open questions
-
How much time do we need? -
Where will this take place? -
Will there be separate sessions? (beginners, intermediate) -
How to split (or combine) git in the browser with git from command line? -
What are the prerequisites for attendants? (gitlab account, anything else?) -
Who will deliver the presentation(s)? -
Who will be there as tutor? -
... (what else needs to be considered?)
People who could help (providing resources and/or as tutor on the day)
- Gaurav Bhalerao has given git tutorials before and would be interested to help as tutor
- Paul McCarthy would be very happy to help
Git training as part of the grad course:
- git course as part of a reboot camp:
- up to 3h in (e.g. 1h presentation, 2h exercises?)
- Jan 15-19 or April 22-26 (probably the better time, more coding heavy)
- Juju in contact with Kamila Szulc-Lerch and should have a meeting soon on how to organise the Git course inside the MRI graduate course.
